South Boston is undoubtedly in flux nowadays, with major developments either underway or planned and the Seaport District encroaching on ever more of the neighborhood's traditional territory.
Such change bespeaks demand for Southie, including its condos. To get a better sense of what those condos now cost, real estate research site NeighborhoodX looked at the market-rate condo listings currently on the South Boston market.
Turns out, the average asking price is $602 a square foot. Behind that average, though, is a wide range: from $406 a foot on G Street to $781 a foot in the new second phase of the Allele complex.
