The achingly quaint Beacon Hill townhouse at 3 Acorn Street dates from 1825 and runs to just over 2,900 square feet. A chef’s kitchen, four fireplaces, three bedrooms, and three full bathrooms are packed into that relatively tight assemblage and there is also a small courtyard out back.
Out front, of course, is what’s often called the most beautiful urban street in all of America. Such a selling point, though, was not enough to avoid a sizable price-chop at the end: Three Acorn dropped mid-May for $3,750,000 and just closed for $3,715,000.
