The lofty condo building at 111 Beach Street in Boston's Leather District has caught our fancy before—as a rental option. This go-round it pops up on the sales side: In this particular case, the quick trade of the 1-BR, 1.5-BA Unit 5H, which took not even the shortest month of the year to sell.
The 1,270-square-foot spread hit the sales market Feb. 4 for $899,000. It quickly went to contract and closed on Feb. 28 for $843,500—a significant premium off the asking, but still damned impressive, no? At the least, the fast sale is yet another example of Boston's ever more dessicated condo market.
