The historic housing construction boom has a Midas touch that is gilding properties everywhere in Boston, not least of which including the Boston Housing Authority's Whittier Street Apartments.
The 62-year old property is going to be replaced with a mixed-income development with market rate apartments and condos, as well as replacement public housing and moderate-income units.
The cost for this 386-unit project? Around $148 million. It's intended to better connect the area of the Dudley Square business district, according to reporting at the Herald.
