Wegmansmania

The new Wegmans supermarket, the most important thing to happen to the Boston area since the 2004 World Series, opened its doors to the public in Northborough this weekend. The reviews ranged from ecstatic to ecstatic tinged with rapture: "Irwin and Lois Silver, retirees from Framingham, were making their maiden Wegmans voyage. They got a heads-up from their daughter in suburban Washington, D.C. 'She kept telling us you’ve never seen anything like it,' Lois Silver said. 'You know what? I’ve never seen anything like it.'"
