Out in South Weymouth, a new mini-city is proceeding apace, with a deal reached to buy the remaining 830 acres of an old naval air base: "LNR Property Corp. will sign the purchase agreement with the Navy today, agreeing to pay about $25 million for land that will complete its SouthField development, a planned community of 2,800 homes, 2 million square feet of stores and offices, a golf course, athletic fields, and other facilities."
