Time To Vote on Brookline's 2-BR Baroque Beauty

Baroque? Not if you can afford this!

But seriously, folks, this 2-BR, 1,412-square-foot penthouse in Brookline's 102-year-old Stoneholm positively reeks of elegance. Here's a wee nip from a write-up in The Herald over the weekend:

Through sliding pocket doors is a formal dining room that has hardwood floors, two arched windows, decorative scrolls and paneling and an overhead chandelier. Across the hall is a cabinet-lined passageway that leads into the 18-by-11-foot hardwood-floored kitchen, redone six months ago with beige marble counters and stainless-steel appliances. There are 25 restored white-painted cabinets, four of which are glass fronted. At the end of the kitchen sits a breakfast nook with three tall bay windows that look out over a walking trail.

The 21-by-14-foot master bedroom has two closets, one of which has built-ins, and a fireplace with a green marble mantel.

It's retailing for $675,000 (a garaged parking space will cost you an additional $65K). What say you? Polls close next Monday.
