Cambridge's Red Ribbon Commission on the Delights and Concerns of Central Square has presented its study of that area of the city and discovered not only the need for more middle-class housing but that a certain university really, really loves the area: "One of the biggest discoveries the commission made was that, of M.I.T.’s $1.5 billion in real estate investment, half of it is in Central Square."
