Shows that if you wait, you can really nab a deal. We've been tipped off that just before Thanksgiving the gobsmackingly regal Ames-Webster Mansion in Back Bay, on the market since 2009, was price-chopped by $5 million. The 26,000-square-foot palace with 50 rooms and 28 fireplaces now retails for $18,000,000—or roughly $692 a square foot, which, in the grand scheme of luxury Boston, isn't really all that much. The manse (we're running out of synonyms!) can be used as a single-family residence or commercially. Inquire with superbroker Tracy Campion.
