Forty-nine developers and tenants have kicked the tires of the old Edward J. Sullivan Courthouse in East Cambridge. The commonwealth is expected to pick one by July and then the heavy lifting of redoing the 595,000-square-foot building, including, oh yes, clearing the asbestos. Some residents have also "suggested lopping off some of the building’s 200-plus feet to bring it closer to what current zoning says is appropriate for the residential area: 80 feet." [Cambridge Day]
