Like what David Hasselhoff is to music in Germany or Jerry Lewis is to comedy in France, so is Boston to real estate in Lithuania and Greece—they break-a-plate love it. According to new data from Trulia on where Europeans are house-hunting in the U.S. in these troubled times, Boston is one of the top choices among Lithuanians and Greeks (though we suggest any mortgage lender check the latter's credit closely).
Boston ranked 29th overall for European house hunters, right ahead of Long Island and just behind Lake County, Ill. La-La land was No. 1, followed by New York, Miami, San Francisco and Orlando. Yeah, wait till they see the lines for Space Mountain. Duck Tours won't look so bad then, eh?
