Mitt Romney Downsized! Ex-Gov's Smaller Belmont Home

In April 2009, Mitt Romney sold the 6,434-square-foot, 6-BR, 6.5-BA Belmont estate that he lived in as Massachusetts governor. He and wife Ann, by then empty-nesters, downsized a little more than a year later to a 2-BR, 3.5-BA townhouse, also in Belmont (or, in an alternate history, northwest Boston), that runs to no more than 3,000 square feet, plus private courtyard. It is reportedly the most modest of the Romneys' homes.
