LEATHER DISTRICT—We told you this morning about how the entire downtown Boston condo market fared in 2011 (well, but not too well). BOSTON—Quite. We're the fifth most literarate city in the nation, according to Central Connecticut State's new survey. Somehow, we finished just behind Atlanta and had to edge out Pittsburgh: "[The survey] focuses on six key indicators of literacy: newspaper circulation, number of bookstores, library resources, periodical publishing resources, educational attainment, and Internet resources."
