Carl Crawford Selling Wellesley Mansion, Batting Cage Optional

New, 1 comment

Last week, it was ex-Celtic Ray Allen's Wellesley mansion, with its six-car garage and media room seating 12. This week, it's ex-Red Sox Carl Crawford's Wellesley mansion, with its game room and batting cage (which the listing helpfully advises "can be removed"). There's a walkout basement; a large chef's kitchen; an even larger master suite; a media room (of course); what appears to be an in-house barber shop; a three-car garage; and the tantalizing possibility that the whole shebang can be purchased fully furnished. Crawford's asking $2,995,000 (after an Oct. 14 price-chop of $159K). He bought the place in April 2011 for $2,550,000.
