The 1-BR, 1.5-BA pied-a-terre of Boston bar owner Joe Cimino has gone into foreclosure and will be auctioned on Oct. 24. A spokesman for Cimino, owner of Daisy Buchanan's in Back Bay, among other spots, put it this way, telling The Herald: "It's a private financial matter that's no different than what 47 percent of all Americans are going through. We're dealing with it." Word.
The 972-square-foot flat was once listed for $1.1 million, though that price drifted through the last three years to $899,000. While it looks to be (based on what we think are old listing photos) as severely functional as you'd expect for a part-time home. But it is the Four Seasons, one of the Curbed Boston 76, with all the steams and turn-downs that that entails.
