The Skinny: The listing for this 1-BR, 1-BA bang on the Common has disappeared in the week since we made it immortal as one of our toughest PriceSpotters ever. No matter—we got it when it was there. And the asking price then was a relatively bargain $414K. Most of you (nearly 70 percent, in fact) guessed $500,000 or more, suggesting that that old maxim about location in real estate still holds. Only 14.4 percent saw the bargain, suggesting that we've all come to perceive Boston housing as crazy pricey even when it's really not. And that's that old maxim about perception being reality.
