The 3-BR, 3.5-BA Cambridge manse of mild-mannered trial lawyer (and Harvard prof) Alan Dershowitz has hit the market for $3,950,000. The man who repped O.J. Simpson, Leona Helmsley, Mike Tyson and more is reportedly retiring to New York; and is unloading the 5,451-square-foot spread he bought way back in 1990 for $1.15 million. Dershowitz and wife Carolyn Cohen apparently toe-tipped into the wild side with some of their design choices; particularly, we think, the rug in the living room and the purple wall paint with mood lighting. The listing from Hammond Real Estate does a deft job of describing the house and grounds as a "blend of whimsical fantasy and modern functionality." Presumably the lap pool embodies the latter.
