The plot around where Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen might buy and build in the Hub thickens with a Herald report today that the It couple is eying a 5-acre parcel owned by Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill and next to Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Reps from the college are expected to go before Brookline's Zoning Board of Appeals on Thursday, night and request the permission to sell the lot to Brady and Bundchen. The college had originally wanted to subdivide it, but decided against that, opting instead for a one, lump trade.
Recall that Tomsele, after serious price reductions and hundreds of days on the market, sold their penthouse at 310 Beacon Street in June for $9,200,000. They have been renting it back ever since, but only during the NFL season reportedly. Otherwise, the couple have been spending their time in their ground-up, 22,000-square-foot mansion in L.A., which they finished building this year.
Then came the speculation, given their growing family, over where they would remain tenants at 310 Beacon; rent/stay somewhere else during the season; or buy. A late October report, also in the Herald, pegged the couple looking in Brookline and looking to build from the ground up again. That only fueled the speculation, which might just be resolved Thursday night.
