Spotlight on Globe Editor's South End Duplex

The 1,381-square-foot South End loft of outgoing Boston Globe editor Marty Baron has found a buyer. The 3-BR, 2.5-BA duplex penthouse at 16 Upton Street was last listed at $1,395,000; and apparently went under agreement after only five days on the market (the closing price remains unknown, but, according to the Business Journal's Thomas Grillo, he bought it in 2001, the year he became The Globe's editor, for $965,000). The loft includes a wine cooler in the gourmet kitchen, central air, two fireplaces and a roof deck with fab city views.
