Ritz-Carlton Penthouse Asking $30K a Month

New, 2 comments

In early September, we broke the news that the Benjamin Mansion, with its rooftop pool and three powder rooms, was asking $40,000 a month in rent (it's still available, you haven't missed it). Now, we have this: a 3-BR, 4.5-BA in the Ritz-Carlton's North Tower is asking $30,000 a month, becoming—easily—Boston's second-priciest rental listing (No. 3 is the $21,000 being asked by the triplex at 163 Marlborough Street).

At 2,971 square feet, the Ritz-Carlton penthouse is actually nearly half the size of the 163 Marlborough triplex. But it comes furnished and the rent includes Ritz-Carlton amenities: two valet parking spaces; 24-hour concierge; Sports Club LA right across the street; room and cleaning services; etc., etc. Plus, it's got 200 square feet of private terrace. Though, the Benjamin Mansion has a rooftop pool. So...

Interestingly enough, the penthouse was listed for sale in June for $4,500,000. That listing was removed, however, the last day of November and up popped the rental rundown. The penthouse last traded for $3,395,000 way back in August 2009.
