"After months of hearing about casting calls and rumors of a South Boston-based reality show, confirmation is finally here. TLC said today in a press release that it has ordered eight episodes of a series called 'Southie Pride.' ... 'TLC takes viewers into this the tight-knit community ... going inside the homes of five South Boston women as they struggle to make a life for their families and protect the people they love the most...'" __SOUTH BOSTONSOUTH END—More seriously, a new condo building has been proposed for 512-518 Tremont Street: "Under the proposal ... the current home of Dutch Cottage Candy would become five floors of condos and provide two spaces on the ground level for retail. Project architect Guy Grassi said the condo units would be approximately 2,500 square feet." There would be no roof decks but there would be underground parking. [Boston.com]
