15 Percent of Hub Homes Going to Contract in 72 Hours

Fifteen percent of the Greater Boston homes put on the market in 2012 have gone to contract within three days. That's according to this nifty chart from Redfin (hat tip: Curbed D.C.). It places us just behind the Dallas area and just ahead of the Sacramento area; and further validates all the chatter about busier open houses and bidding wars (though, of course, the corollary is that 85 percent of homes are taking longer than three days—and some are taking a lot longer).
