Malden Selling Buildings; Worries Over Hub Housing Selection

MALDEN—There's a potential bonanza for private developers as the city seeks to unload unwanted property: "Requests for proposals will be advertised for the Emerson School, the old Linden Fire Station, and McFadden Manor. HUB-WIDE—Mildly good news from the Fed's latest Beige Book: "In the Greater Boston area, by contrast, the median sale price of homes and condos rose in February compared to a year ago. Respondents say buyer activity in Boston has intensified and they are concerned that inventory levels will not provide adequate selection for homebuyers." [Bloomberg]
