On This Marathon Monday, a Girthquaking Back Bay TH

Rare is it that a townhouse of this girth hits the Boston market, but this 6,126-square-foot Back Bay 5-BR, 5-BA runs to 30 feet. Such size is apparently possible due to its corner location at Fairfield Street and the public alley. It hit the market late last week asking $3,995,000, which also makes it one of the pricier additions to the Boston market this spring. For that price, you get eat-in kitchen; a "spa-like master bath;" a top-floor terrace; and deeded parking. Not to mention restored original details from the house's 1870s genesis. The place last traded in February 2001 for $2,687,500.
