In Brookline, a Mac Daddy and the Case of the Purple Peninsula

There's not much to dislike about this 2-BR, 2-BA penthouse in Brookline that just sold for $519,100. Oh, wait a sec, we found it: the purple countertop peninsula in the kitchen. Doesn't gibe with the rest of the 1,115-square-foot spread; seems, in fact, a vestige of its 1945 born-on date. And (though this one's probably fixed already) we also couldn't help but smirk at the ginormous Mac desktop in one of the bedrooms. Straight outta the '90s.
