The Zen of Back Bay Roof Decks; North End Apt. Building Trade

[via Curbed Boston]

BACK BAY—Broker David Bates on zen and the art of the roof deck: "As a broker, you can tour buyers through an otherwise mundane Back Bay condominium and when you finally climb the final stair to the building’s highest vista, they get that excited glimmer in their eye that says, 'I’ve discovered the meaning of life and it’s roof decks.'" Curiously, only one-fourth of Back Bay condos have roof decks. [Bates]

NORTH END—We would have thought a lot more: "A four-unit apartment building at 162 Prince St. in Boston’s North End has sold for $1.55 million." [Biz Journal]
