PriceSpotter is Curbed Boston's asking-price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you vote for which price you think it is. If you think it's none of the above, tender a more exact guess in the comments or shoot us an email. Next week we reveal the answer. And, hey, no cheating!
Where/What: a 3-BR, 2.5-BA single-family on Williams Avenue near the Truman Parkway; you could walk to the commuter rail if you had to
Square Footage: 2,400
The Skinny: Last week it was a redone stable in Charlestown. Now it's a redone farmhouse in Hyde Park dating from the 1870s. The listing, not unsurprisingly, promises "country living in the city," and there are beastly touches throughout, including barn-board tiles in the master bath and exposed ceiling beams in the kitchen. Bonus clue: the house last traded in April 2010 for $218,000. Bonus clue II: the current asking was chopped $19,100 in April. What should the asking price be now?
