Back Bay's Clio Turns 15; Bring on the Barbecue

That clinking of glass? That searing sound? Those delicious smells? Eater Boston must be stopping by!

WATERFRONT—Celtics center Kevin Garnett quipped that the team is "all grit and balls," and so The Living Room restaurant made a dish in his honor, composed of grits and meatballs. But what if everything that Garnett said became dinner?
CAMBRIDGERafiki Bistro on Mass Ave is now closed and the Clear Conscious Cafe, further down Mass Ave, is also slated to shutter. The same owner ran both establishments and seems to have something new up his sleeve.
BACK BAY—In honor of the 15th anniversary of Ken Oringer's Clio, the restaurant is trucking in 15 Clio alumni chefs from all corners of the country to whip up a dazzling 15-course dinner. Tickets are sold out, but here's an interview with chef de cuisine Douglas Rodrigues about where things are headed for years 16 and beyond.
BRIGHAM CIRCLE—The latest news from Boston's barbecue boom is that Allston's SoulFire is planning to open a second location in what was the Brigham Circle Diner. The restaurant is known for its absurdly long hickory smoking process and regional sauces. Sure, let there be more of that.
