Not sure if he was doing so ironically, but Mayor Tom Menino repeatedly referred to himself and his city as "hip" yesterday. (Back story here on why he would do that.) A 29-year-old mobile fashion truck owner paid him the ultimate compliment, though: “He’s definitely cooler than Mayor Bloomberg.” [Herald]
