As we told you early this morning, Boston's It couple unloaded their 5,311-square-foot, 3-BR, 3.5-BA penthouse at 310 Beacon Street for $9.2 million, more than a million under the latest asking but still impressive given the per-square-foot price (a beefier indicator anyway).
Now, perusing Suffolk County records, we find the buyer is an entity sexily called "Beacon Street Nominee Trust 310." The trust is a vehicle for William Walser and Peter H. Mattoon, who appear to be real estate investors. Both are listed as executives at SCS Financial: Mattoon as the firm's chairman and C.E.O.; Walser as founder and senior client investment adviser of the firm's private client group. (We have an email out to SCS re: the pair's plans for the penthouse and its landscaped roof deck, if any.)
And, for those following obsessively along at home (and we know you are!), the certificate closing the sale was recorded by the county at 10:28 a.m. on Friday. We'll think of some way at some point to commemorate that time every year.
