SOMERVILLE— The $9.8M transformation of the old Saint Polycarp parish in Winter Hill into a mixed-use development continued today with a ribbon-cutting on the second leg: "This is the second of three phases of new construction on the site and includes 29 affordable rental units within three four-story buildings. The buildings are centered around a courtyard and include a community room and playground." (Polycarp's the patron saint of earaches, by the way, in case the construction noise bothers neighbors.)
