SOUTH END—It's official! Whole Foods will be a part of the Ink Block, the big redevelopment of the old Herald HQ: "The 50,000-square-foot store would be the chain’s largest in Boston. ... The planned Whole Foods will include outdoor sidewalk café seating on Harrison Avenue, a wine store, gelato bar, as well as prepared foods and a selection of natural and organic foods. When completed in 2014, the store will be the first full-size grocery store in the South End." [Biz Journal]

MISSION HILL—There's a new Dunkin' Donuts slated for Tremont Street. But! "[R]epresentatives of both the mayor's office and City Councilor Mike Ross (who lives on Mission Hill) opposed the donut shop, based on a formal vote against the proposal by the Community Alliance of Mission Hill. 'There's already an abundance of coffee-type establishments,' Ross's rep told the board." [The Hub]
