LADDER DISTRICT—The city today described the plans of Chicago-based developer Oxford Capital for a 240-room hotel at 59 Temple Place: "The boutique hotel would have entrances on Washington Street and Temple Place. It is situated near three other major projects downtown—a 600-foot apartment and retail tower at the former Filene’s property; a condominium building across from the Ritz Carlton, and an apartment tower at the intersection of Chinatown and Downtown Crossing."
