More Companies Need Offices; Fewer People Need the T

HUB-WIDE—Another record is delayed: "The MBTA is reporting a slight drop in ridership in July, the first month since an average 23 percent fare hike took effect. The T said Thursday that average weekday trips during the month were one-tenth of a point below July 2011 levels." [WHDH]
BOSTON/CAMBRIDGE—This can translate into later housing demand, too: "During the first six months of the year, office market demand in Boston and Cambridge increased by the largest amount since the second half of 2007.
