We must admit to some bemusement when a listing promises food-prep facilities that will "make your spatula flip." But the kitchen in this 2,125-square-foot, 3-BR, 2-BA in Hyde Square sure is a looker, with a sleek black-and-white color scheme and metallic subway-tile backsplash. If that appeals to your inner chef, there's a new Whole Foods Market within shouting distance (but, please, no actual shouting—the market's already seen its share of controversy). Truth be told, while we're fans of the hyperbole-worthy kitchen, we might be even more agog at the bathrooms, which feature the same marbled aesthetic as well as ornate, of-the-moment vessel sinks. And that lower-level family room is big enough to double as a dance studio. It's all yours for $450,000 (and you might want to act fast—if a 3-BR is going to sell anywhere in Boston it's probably in JP). — Rachel Lebeaux
