Presenting Neighborhood Watch, a monthly breakdown from Curbed Boston about what's going on market-wise in key neighborhoods 'round the region (and, for our purposes here, towns and cities are neighborhoods, too—because they almost were, after all). All stats courtesy of William Raveis Real Estate. First up, Cambridge.

Single-family home sales in the People's Republic were down more than 8 percent annually in August as sales prices rose: the average by 3.5 percent to $1,124,671 and the more important median measure by 6.1 percent to $845,000.
