DORCHESTER—The redevelopment of the old Pearl Meat Packing plant augurs well for Quincy Street and its surroundings: "The Pearl Meat project and a proposed artisans' collaborative are part of larger plans to revitalize the area between Columbia Road and Blue Hill Avenue that include two affordable housing projects: the $53 million redevelopment of the Woodledge/Morrant Bay Apartments into the 129-unit Quincy Heights and the 40-unit Quincy Commons elderly housing."
