File this under "N" for "No shit" (sorry, rainy days and Tuesdays always get us down). The long weekend's many, many move-ins revealed some apartments in the Hub that are, shall we say, creative in their standards. Among the worst offenders was this 21-unit building at 45 Ashford Street in Allston: bedbugs, roaches, and rats, broken smoke alarms, asbestos—you know, Allston. The city has ruled it uninhabitable and would-be tenants have had to make other arrangements for a week while the landlord cleans up. (And, perhaps even then, the city can add the landlord to its shame list.)
