One reader suggests renaming the beleaguered Financial District the Old Port, the Old City, or the Exchange "(various stock/mutual fund, grain and fishing exchanges that have dotted the district over the centuries). Or what if the better approach is to break the old FiDi [into] sub-districts comprised of it's earlier incarnations—it's actually made up of several original neighborhoods—from North to South" like Broad to India streets?
