In what is surely the city's biggest price-chop of the young year, the most adorable house in all of Boston, the Sunflower Castle at 130 Mount Vernon Street, has trimmed $496,000 off its asking price.
Recall that the castle, the one-time home and studio of watercolor painter Gertrude Beals Bourne, went on the market in September 2012 for $4,600,000. A month later the 3,246-square-foot, 4-BR, 3.5-BA Queen Anne was $105,000 off; and it's now down to a dream-a-dream $3,999,000. It last traded way back in August 1997 for $1,250,000. Stay tuned.
