It's not always possible to stage a home for sale in the Hub. Staging can be expensive and oftentimes not necessary (the property's likely to sell in no time, the asking price doesn't justify the cost, etc.). Should you list without staging, however—that is, should your or your broker shoot the house or apartment yourself—do take care. This 2-BR, 1.5-BA condo just north of Inman Square in Somerville did not: Dig the creepy clown poster. Shudder. Still, it didn't hurt the bottom line: The 1,175-square-foot condo, which wanted at least $369,000, closed for $412,500 in early December.
