New Hyde Park Campus; Hub Panhandling Ban?

HYDE PARK—The Match Charter Public School will build on the Neponset River: "The organization made a deal to buy six acres from ETC Development, a nonprofit affordable housing developer, and build a campus for the community day school it started a few years ago. The school now leases space but will expand to 700 non-native English speaking students." [Herald]

HUB-WIDE—Everyone's watching Worcester's proposed traffic-panhandling ban: "'I'd be curious to see what they'll be doing in Worcester,' said Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina. 'It's definitely a public safety issue when they're in the middle of the road collecting money, but I also think some motorists might be intimidated when they're at a stoplight and someone's approaching them.'"
