When $6.5M Isn't That Much in Boston Real Estate

New, 2 comments

See, the thing about the $6,500,000 price tag for 476 Beacon Street's penthouse is that it doesn't even place the 3,480-square-foot spread amongst the 10 most expensive Boston homes for sale.

By our back-of-the-envelop calculations, it's No. 13, well behind No. 12, a $7,500,000 ask at the new Chanel No. 6 and nowhere near the Land of Eight Figures dominated by Commonwealth Ave. manses. The 3-BR, 3.5-BA penthouse is impressive enough (we assume as interior listing shots are nonexistent, we just get the views), though buyer beware: the Keliher Real Estate listing makes clear that a "meticulous renovation" is under way and that there's "still time for buyer to add their personal touch." In other words, $6,500,000 would be just the start.
