New, 1 comment

Can they hold their spots in the final months? We'll see. Let's kick things off (via a little help from our pals at LINK Boston) with No. 5:

5.
Penthouse 1 at the Clarendon
Closing price/date: $6,500,000 on July 10
The Skinny: The 3-BR, 3.5-BA, 3,545-square-foot spread on the 31st floor was bought by "a good old empty-nester moving from the suburbs to the city," according to someone with knowledge of the sale. It originally asked $7,100,000.

4.
Unit 1 at 3 Commonwealth Avenue
Closing price/date: $6,500,000 on April 30
The Skinny: The 3-BR, 4.5-BA, 3,950-square-foot spread dropped in February for $7,995,000, finding a buyer pretty damn quick.

3.
Unit E10A at the Mandarin Oriental
Closing price/date: $7,000,000 on April 4
The Skinny: The 3-BR, 2.5-BA, 4,091-square-foot spread originally dropped for $7,900,000.

2.
Unit 1004 at Heritage on the Garden
Closing price/date: $7,150,000 on Sept. 20
The Skinny: The 3-BR, 3-BA, 2,898-square-foot condo traded for the first time in 16 years. If you've got any interior shots, do let us know.

1.
Unit 4 at 310 Beacon Street
Closing price/date: $9,271,000 on Jan. 10
The Skinny: Yes, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's old penthouse tops the list. The 5,311-square-foot duplex with at least three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms had been asking as much as $11,000,000 at one point and had never dipped below $10,500,000 until the closing.
