Red Sox Minority Owner Lists Weston Wonderland

New, 1 comment

Wowza times infinity! Jeff Vinik, a minority owner of the Red Sox (and majority owner of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning), has listed his 7.52-acre Weston estate off Byron Road.

The estate includes seven bedrooms and 11 bathroom (six full) in 19,306 square feet of living space. But! There's so much more: pool and pool house; in-home half-basketball court; media room that can seat 16; that interactive space-ship arcade; billiards and ping-pong room; wine cellar; two guest suites; and some serious, serious whimsy within the decor (check out the columns and the staircase railings and the Scrabble on the bathroom wall that spells stuff that's in a bathroom—amazing!). Yours for $17,000,000 (Vinik, for his part, is decamping for Tampa). It looks like Brookline's 39 Sears Road has some competition.
