DOWNTOWN—Above is a rather intriguing time-lapse video of the creation of the new model room at the Onyx Hotel on Portland Street. The boutique inn just finished renovating its lobby, bar, lounge and said model room, to the tune of $2.3 million. Remaining guest rooms are due to be redone by early 2014. [Kimpton]
