Boston Grocery-Store Coverage; Esplanade 'Light Forest'

BOSTON—The city has a report out on its grocery stores, present and future: "Since 1990, Boston added over 700,000 square feet of new supermarkets to the city, while replacing an additional 500,000 square feet of old space. Today, Boston has a total of over 1.3 million square feet of supermarkets in the city. In addition, Boston is poised to welcome five new grocery stores to the Downtown area, Fenway, and Jamaica Plain." [BRA]
BOSTON—There's a 300-foot-long "light forest" beside the Charles River Esplanade: "The interactive light experience will consist of over 10,000 solar-powered LED lights that respond to movement, so that the lights will respond to each person as they pass through it with light and sound tones."
