BOSTON—The city has a report out on its grocery stores, present and future: "Since 1990, Boston added over 700,000 square feet of new supermarkets to the city, while replacing an additional 500,000 square feet of old space. Today, Boston has a total of over 1.3 million square feet of supermarkets in the city. BOSTON—There's a 300-foot-long "light forest" beside the Charles River Esplanade: "The interactive light experience will consist of over 10,000 solar-powered LED lights that respond to movement, so that the lights will respond to each person as they pass through it with light and sound tones."
