'Twas only a couple of weeks ago that we dropped the news that the gorgeous townhouse at 36 Lime Street had dropped its price tag by a whopping $700,000. The 5-BR, 5.5-BA spread had been on the sales market since February 2012, with its owner of 40-odd years having originally listed it for nearly $7M.
The 5,698-square-foot townhouse, with six fireplaces and parking for one (and interiors designed by the late David Nightingale Hicks), has gone under agreement for the last asking of $6,000,000. While we won't know the closing price for a while, perhaps, it's likely it's at or around that number, making the trade of 36 Lime one of the bigger Boston deals of the last few months. Finally.
