Exec Chef to Leave jm Curley; Chez Henri to Close; More!

Time for a big heap of restaurant news from Eater Boston.

DOWNTOWN CROSSING—Big news from Eater Boston's Restaurant of the Year finalist jm Curley: executive chef Sam Monsour is leaving at the end of the year, and sous chef Chris Bauers will step up into his place. Monsour chatted with Eater about his upcoming entrepreneurial plans, including a lifestyle improvement app with his wife, an apron company, a burger cookbook with Boston Burger Blog's Richard Chudy, and eventually his own restaurant—hopefully by the end of 2014.
PORTER SQUARE/HARVARD SQUARE—19-year-old Cambridge mainstay Chez Henri, a French and Cuban restaurant nestled just off of Mass. Ave., will close this weekend. "We invite all of our guests, family, friends, past and present employees in over the next days to celebrate the fond memories and say your good byes to this legendary neighborhood favorite," wrote owner Paul O'Connell on Facebook.
AUDUBON CIRCLE—The latest food truck to expand to a brick-and-mortar location has just softly opened up said brick-and-mortar. Mei Mei (from the Mei Mei Street Kitchen team) is now open with a limited menu and limited hours, but dinner and late-night service will be added over the next couple weeks. Here's a look inside.
