BOSTON—The next mayor agrees with the current governor: "Despite warnings that an envisioned 2024 Boston Olympics could come with debt of Big Dig proportions, Mayor-elect Martin J. Walsh said yesterday it's worth consideration — a bid for the games would have to involve support from surrounding towns and corporate sponsors to pick up the huge price tag." [Herald]

MASS.-WIDE—The stats for single-family homes were up, too: "In October, condominium sales statewide rose 16 percent, increasing to 1,724, the Warren Group said. The median condo price rose to $299,500 in October, a 13 percent increase from the same month a year ago." [Boston.com]

BROOKLINE—It's about where the town's border with Boston falls: "Some homeowners who worried about the values of their homes or their children's education shook as they spoke, others voices cracked with emotion and some sitting in the audience cried as they heard the testimonies before the Brookline School Committee's policy review subcommittee in Town Hall Monday night."
